Duties

Customer Experience – Accountable for the overall customer experience and alignment with the company mission and vision statement.

  • Accountable for maintaining regular communication with customers regarding the entire service cycle – including quotes, timelines, status updates, and billing expectations
  • Communicate with parts department regarding part needs and transfer of goods
  • Maintaining customer and inventory data in the company accounting system and CRM
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of all products, systems, and procedures

Operations – Accountable for the daily operation function and overall efficiency of a dealership location.

  • Address service priorities, service issues, and relay any applicable information from leadership
  • Host weekly service department meeting to include training, service priorities, backorder notifications, etc.
  • Maintain technician work schedules and technician efficiency ratings
  • Accountable for all work orders to receive customer approval and close for invoicing in a timely manner
  • Prompt submission of invoices for received parts to the accounts payable department for processing
  • Report service summary and/or delays to the Branch Manager
  • Oversee local service team to ensure quality workmanship
  • Perform quality checks on repair orders and quotes • Assist local service team in training opportunities
  • Responsible for maintaining safe work conditions, including service bay tidiness and compliance with local and federal regulations
  • Ensure safety concerns are corrected in a timely manner and by any imposed deadlines
  • Cultivate and maintain culture and engagement of team

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining customer focused service and department alignment with company mission and vision statement
  • Work with Branch Manager to ensure implementation of the strategy designed to grow the business through the service department
  • Keep service office clean and organized
  • Perform annual performance review for all direct reports and submit to Branch Manager
  • Ensure proper daily open and close of service facility
  • Inspect the service facility for damage and equipment for damage or theft
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Management experience preferred
  • Proven leadership and communication skills
  • Required: valid driver’s license and pass company driver record evaluation • CDL endorsement preferred
  • Experience in service project management and achieving target goals
  • Ability to identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with leadership team on implementing changes, when applicable
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements

Compensation:

  • Starting at $75,000 Annually DOE

Yard Hand

Location: Portland, OR

Position Overview

The Yard Service Associate performs an array of functions including pulling and preparing accurate orders for customers, safely using a forklift to load/unload trucks, maintaining yard stock in a clean and organized manner and assist service technicians as necessary.

Essential Job Responsibilities

· Maintain organization and appearance of equipment yard

· Works inside the warehouse and or outside in the yard depending on need

· Accurately loads trucks for outgoing shipments

· Inbound material receiving and put away

· Able to complete work orders and receiving documents accurately

· Pull and prepare orders, packaging for shipment

· Rotates yard stock and safely moves materials using a forklift

· Maintains clean and safe working environment

· Works with team to ensure branch success and provides excellent customer service

Requirements:

· 1+ year experience in a warehouse/yard position

· Able to lift/move heavy materials (up to 60lbs) on occasion

· Forklift experience highly desired

· Ability to read, write and perform basic math functions

· Must be able to work overtime as needed

· Experience with construction and/or farm equipment a plus

· Must be a team player

· Must be exceptionally self-disciplined

Service Technician/Diesel Mechanic

Location: Richland, WA | Fontana, CA | Monroe, WA | Portland, OR


Essential Job Duties:
  • Follow all company policies, processes, procedures. Exercise safe work practices to contribute to the achievement of the company’s safety goals.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all systems (electrical, hydraulic, A/C, power train, etc.) on ASV, Takeuchi, Fecon, and other FMI Equipment’s affiliated product lines.
  • Operate equipment as needed to assist in locating and diagnosing the failure.
  • Utilize hand and power tools and electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Read and interpret complex hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • Perform diagnostic testing and tuning of equipment.
  • Follow all safety rules and policies while performing all work assignments as specified in company handbooks.
  • Assess parts to determine the cause of failure and/or their reusability.
  • Communicate with parts department personnel to order the necessary parts required to complete repair(s).
  • Customer satisfaction is our priority at FMI Equipment; all customer inquiries must be handled promptly and in a professional manner.
  • Complete and submit assigned work order reports, time entry and all other paperwork daily.
  • When appropriate compile any additional documentation necessary for completeness.
  • Assist other technicians on large repairs or projects.
  • Attend and participate in appropriate training(s).
  • Most of your time will be spent in the shop; however, you may be expected to work in the field from time to time. This may require overnight stays in motels and the management of an expense account.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Service Manager or Foreman.
Job Requirements:
  • Must be safety minded and use PPE as required
  • Have own tools (hand, basic electrical testing and air or battery power tools)
  • Welding/metal fabrication experience preferred, but not required
  • Some sort of maintenance, repair, and diagnostic experience in the automotive, truck or equipment industries required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to remain respectful, positive and maintain professionalism in all situations
  • Demonstrate clean and organized work practices
  • Must be able to follow policies, directions, and procedures
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
